A live work - looking at failure, loss and the impact of cultural obsession with success and victory.  

 

Runner Up is an attempt to set fire to the concept of failure, using different media, materials and sculptural objects alongside choreographed movement and actions. It is a work that seeks to be both installation and performance, with performance actions designed to take place alongside a main static installation at set intervals.

A body ascends a ladder, slowly.

A body falls from a ladder. 

​

Liquid begins to empty from a sac. 

​

Runner Up was presented at the Blue Elephant theatre, London, June 2018.
